Standing Rock: Prayer turns to celebration

The Unitarian Universalist Association (UUA)’s Chief Operating Officer Harlan Limpert was among UUs gathered with water protectors for an interfaith day of prayer, Dec. 4, 2016 at Standing Rock.

New member classes for Spring 2017

Twice a year, fall and spring, RVUUF offers orientation classes for people who are interested in becoming a member of RVUUF. The next series of classes begin March 5, 2017.

Winning logo for RVUUF

RVUUFians voted on a new logo to capture the mission statement for our Fellowship. Six designs were submitted for consideration. Congratulations to Vicki Villarreal for submitting the winning design. “Embrace Diversity, Empower Connection, and Engage in the Work.”

Thanksgiving holiday office closure

The RVUUF offices will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25 in observation of the Thankskgiving Holiday. There will be an early deadline of before 9 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, for News to Note submissions and Order of Worship information.

‘Socks Plus’ donation drive

RVUUF’s Religious Explorations youth will soon assemble kits of useful items for adults who seek refuge at Ashland’s Pioneer Hall homeless shelter. Unitarian Universalist clergy across the Pacific Western Region answered a call to be in solidarity at Standing Rock, North Dakota, where Standing Rock Sioux activists are opposing the Dakota Access Pipeline.
